Brandeis University New Residence Hall

Sunrise teamed up with Bond Brothers and William Rawn Associates on this design-assist collaboration for the newest residence hall at Brandeis University, Castle Hall.

SEI was brought in to help vet material choices, colors, and to aid in value engineering the project back to budget — a process that involved the construction of multiple different mockups at our fabrication facility in Canton. The mockups were designed to swap out different window systems, panel types, colors and materials to help aid in the selection process.

SEI also played a key role in the detailing of the various façade components, which helped ensure an efficient installation while lowering costs for the client.

The product scope included: Aluminum curtainwall (C.I Energía Solar ESWindows), aluminum vents, aluminum composite panels (Vitrabond), framing, insulation, air and vapor barrier, expansion joints, fire stopping, louvers, and interior glass and glazing (Tecnoglass).

Special thanks to ESW for the great pictures!
