Located at Founders Park (formerly Center 128) in the heart of the Newton-Needham (N-Squared) Innovation District, this two-story, 260,000 sq. ft. office building recently underwent a major transformation and is now the international headquarters of SharkNinja, the maker of class-leading Shark vacuums and the innovative line of Ninja kitchen appliances.
For the exterior, the design incorporated a coppery, steel-like cladding with randomly interspersed perforated panels between solid ones, giving the building a new visual identity. The perforations in the cladding also provided another opportunity for natural light to penetrate the space.
Sunrise’s scope for this project included the entire zinc facade, ACM soffit, ACM fascia, and corrugated panels.
