This large-scale high-tech laboratory project in Kendall Square utilized a fully integrated design approach. Sunrise engineers and project managers participated in on-site colocation for the better part of a year to help bring the design from the DD stage through 100 percent CDs. Sunrise’s scope included the entire exterior façade. The shop drawings that we produced were incorporated into the architect’s set and ultimately became part of the final construction documents.
Product scope: Custom ultra-high performance concrete panels, aluminum composite panels, column covers, phenolic panels, insulated metal panels, louvers, air and vapor barrier, thermally broken exterior framing system, insulation, aluminum curtainwall, aluminum storefront and entrances, glass railings, custom point supported steel and glass suspension system and skylight, all interior glass and glazing.
